Welcome to Anchor of Mercy
We want to first thank you ... for the Prayers received over these past nine years. Without you, standing behind us in partnership ... we could not do what God has called us to. We hope you enjoy our site!
Please note: there has been some changes within our site; we know God is in control and is Lord over all. We hope you will continue to read our postings in the future, given this change. We love you all and want to continue to share what God is doing around the world.
Acts 27:1-26 suggests: The Anchor of Stability holds firm when your Navigation System fails. It's easy to lose your bearing in the storm. Many times you can't find you way through the circumstances you face. Life rolls along fairly smoothly until suddenly the seas grow rough. Unseen problems occur. They were not in the forecast. In Luke's words, "All hope of our being saved" is abandoned. Those are treacheous moments when we reach the point of abandoning hope. At that difficult, gut-wrenching moment, God says, "Don't be afraid, I have a plan." People facing intense adversity find it difficult to focus on anything other than the towering waves and stinging winds. Paul firmly announces, "Be of good cheer...we've heard from the Lord that none will be lost." We find stability in storms through what God has said. Our tendency is to turn to another sources for strength rather than the Word of God. Don't go there! The only Anchor of Stability that holds firm, no matter how intense the gale-force-winds, is God's written Word. Hebrews 6:19 states: "This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast."
Remember -- Anchors are used to provide stability during times of storm. In the same way, one's hope in Christ gives stability in the storms that life brings. This hope extends beyond the storms of this life – even beyond the grave – to an eternity with God in the Paradise of Heaven (Revelation 21:4). The basis of this hope is a relationship with God; who loved us so much that He gave His Son to die for our sins so that we might have hope beyond the troubles of this life.
For all who view our website, may Christ become your Anchor of Mercy. Allow Him to guide your life; trust in Him fully for everything!
